Petty’s Victory Can Be Yours

Bidding begins on Kyle Petty’s Victory Vision.
July 11, 2007

US - NASCAR racer and Victory Rider Kyle Petty will ride a new Victory Vision Tour on his annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride, which runs July 14-21 from Maine to Florida.

At the completion of the ride, Kyle will autograph the bike that will go to the auction’s high bidder. Victory will donate all net proceeds of the auction to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, North Carolina.

The camp, which was founded by Kyle and his wife Pattie Petty in memory of their son Adam, hosts children with chronic illnesses. The children attend the camp free of charge.

THE AUCTION
Bidding on the Victory Vision begins July 11 and runs through July 21, 2007. The auction will be hosted by eBay and the minimum bid for the all-new Victory luxury-touring motorcycle will be $20,000.

To place a bid and get details about the bike and the auction, visit www.kylesvictoryvision.com.

THE CAMP
Adam Petty was an up-and-coming NASCAR racer when he was fatally injured in a pre-race practice session in 2000. He was 19. Adam had long had a great affinity for enriching the lives of children with special needs, and he envisioned building a camp for such children one day. His parents spearheaded the effort to build and operate the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Adam’s memory, and they say they see their son’s smile every time the campers smile.

Victory Motorcycles is a long-time supporter of the camp and of Kyle’s annual charity ride, which raises funds for the camp. Victory is the official motorcycle of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride, which celebrates its 13th anniversary in 2007.

“The Victory Vision auction is another way that we can show our support for Kyle and the kids at Victory Junction Gang Camp,” said Polaris CEO Tom Tiller. “We are proud of both our long-standing partnership with the Charity Ride, and the opportunity to help raise money and drive forward the inspirational mission of the Pettys and their camp.”

Kyle, who is taking a mid-season break from driving this year to work as an analyst on racing broadcasts, expressed his appreciation for the contribution from Victory.

“I am extremely grateful to the people of Victory Motorcycles for their generosity and support of this year's Charity Ride” he said. “Just getting to ride the awesome Victory Vision is going to be a huge thrill, but to have them donate the bike for auction and help raise money for the kids and the camp is unbelievable.”

THE VICTORY VISION
Victory introduced the all-new Victory Vision in January 2007, and the bike goes into production this fall. It redefines American luxury-touring motorcycles, with exceptional comfort for one or two riders, numerous convenience features, ample cargo capacity and outstanding power from the Next Generation Freedom 106/6 engine. This powerful 106-cubic inch engine is coupled with a smooth 6-speed transmission with overdrive.

The bike is available in two versions: The Victory Vision Street and the Victory Vision Tour, which has a rear cargo compartment that provides a passenger with a padded backrest and audio speakers.

Riders will find a wealth of information about the new bike on a special Victory Vision website, where they can also schedule Victory Vision demo rides.

THE RIDE
More than 275 riders will each cover approximately 2,800 miles on this year’s eight-day Kyle Petty Charity Ride. The ride has traditionally crossed the nation, usually ending at the camp in North Carolina. This year, however, riders will take a new route, running down the East Coast.

The route will take the group to the Victory Junction Gang Camp for a visit, and will end July 21 in Hollywood, Florida.

Victory has been a proud supporter of the Charity Ride for the past nine years and has contributed more than $400,000 to the cause during that time.

In the ride’s 12-year history, the event has raised more than $9 million for charity.
